住宿Umbwe camp
Umbwe Camp is the first overnight stop on the Umbwe Route, located deep within the lush montane rainforest of Mount Kilimanjaro. Surrounded by thick vegetation, tall trees, and the sounds of wildlife, the camp offers a true wilderness experience.
Barranco camp
Barranco Camp, located at 3,960 m (12,992 ft), is one of the most scenic camps on Mount Kilimanjaro. Set beneath the impressive Barranco Wall, it offers stunning views and unique vegetation like giant groundsels. The camp is important for acclimatization and prepares climbers for the exciting climb of the Barranco Wall the following day.
Karanga camp.
Karanga Camp, located at 4,035 m (13,238 ft), sits in a scenic valley surrounded by rugged alpine desert. It is an important acclimatization stop, allowing climbers to rest and adjust before heading to Barafu Camp. The area offers beautiful views of the mountain and is known for its peaceful atmosphere and limited water sources.
Barafu camp.
Barafu Camp is the final base camp before the summit attempt on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Umbwe Route. Located on a rocky, exposed ridge, the camp offers dramatic views of Mawenzi Peak and the surrounding alpine desert.
Mweka camp.
Mweka Camp is located at about 3,100 meters on the descent route of Mount Kilimanjaro. Surrounded by lush rainforest, it is the final overnight stop after the summit. Climbers rest here before continuing down to Mweka Gate the next day.
